I would like to preface this page with the following information. We have 1 member of our Investigation Team who after 2 daytime/dusk visit refuses to return under any circumstances. We have 2 members that refuse to be left behind at the entrance to the 1st bridge (near the vehicles) ever again but, are willing to go along and walk the path to the 2nd bridge. These 3 investigators have been to most of our investigations and have never balked at doing what has to be done to complete an investigation. Please feel free to make what you want of this information.

Our first visit here was during the daytime. Our Team walked to the end of the path and back. Saw signs of past hunters (spent shell casing, beer cans, etc.) The road is very narrow and rough with no place to turn around until you reach the dead end where the 1st Bridge is located. Turning around here is a chore but, it can be done. I highly recommend that you turn your car around facing the road in case you need to make a quick getaway from this site. On the second visit it was dusk coming onto dark. Our Team member that stayed with the vehicle reported seeing a shadowy figure walking around the vehicle repeatedly. A feeling of danger and uneasiness accompanied this sighting. The Team on the bridge did not go too far as the ground was very wet and treacherous at that time. Our Investigation in 2005 was at night (10:00 p.m.) and odd to say the least. Two team members stayed with the vehicles, taking pictures of the surrounding area and monitoring the walkie talkie. What they took for headlights suddenly appeared coming towards them down the road. It seemed to be driving too fast for the road condition. In the interest of safety, they returned to the front vehicle which had a clear unbroken view of the road. The "headlights" kept coming, we turned on our headlights to let them know that we were there. At this point the "vehicle" stopped, then continued forward rather quickly until they were no more than 5 feet from our front bumper. The lights were blinding us. Feeling threatened, we radioed the rest of the team for help. No One got out of the "vehicle" and we could not hear the engine running. I think it was a large truck like vehicle but, opinions on that differ. The team members on the bridge were on their way back and as soon as we could see their flashlights in our rear view the "vehicle" in front of ours began backing up FAST. Our returning members could not say for certain what type of vehicle was there or say with any certainty that they had heard the engine. After a few minutes discussion they returned to their trek to the 2nd Bridge. Within minutes of their departure our (not so) friendly lights appeared again. Once again coming closer to us. Feeling that this was some local having fun with us we waited them out. The lights stopped and faded out. In a few minutes they were back again but closer. We called our team in again. This time they saw the lights and watched as they faded into nothingness. None of us heard anything other than the usual night sounds. We had an analog recorder set up near the vehicles and the tape picked up NO ENGINE SOUNDS. While discussing the occurrences and deciding what to do next Donna Kaye heard faint voices, smelled oranges, and suddenly became cold enough to break out in goose flesh. Other team members touched her arm and felt the chill there as well. We left shortly after that. It has been decided that we will investigate Dog Face Bridge in 2006. All team members will walk the path and a video camera will be set up in the lead vehicle trained on the road. Wish us luck with this one. I for one have a really bad feeling about it. Do the page graphics (header) make sense now?

August 5, 2006 Curtis, Kenny, Beth and John went to Dog Face Bridge. Video and audio revealed nothing unusual. There are a lot of NEW No Trespassing signs posted every few feet as you walk the path to the bridge and beyond. New barrier posts have also been placed at the entrance to the bridge. There is a lot more damage to the bridge than on our previous visit. Nothing to report here except that our team felt there was nothing to be gained by continuing on a bridge that is falling apart and is obviously on someones property with a very serious attitude about trespassing. We strongly advise you not to break the law by going to this site. But, if you decide to go here please use extreme caution.

May 5, 2007 Arrived at Dog Face Bridge at 9:30 p.m. Partly cloudy and cool. No noticeable wind. Present for this investigation were Curtis, Kenny, Patrick, Julie, Lexi, John and Brandon. Curtis acted as recording investigator. Equipment was checked, fresh batteries placed in all and some pictures were taken at the starting point. Barriers were noted as being bent. Investigators began walking toward the first bridge. A 6' - 7' section of the bridge is gone. At 9:45 p.m. lights (possibly headlights - see 2005 investigation) were seen approaching the area where our vehicles were parked. As we watched the lights approach the Olympus digital camera shut off and could not be turned back on. We decided to return to the vehicles to investigate the source of the lights. As we were returning to the parked cars the lights disappeared and the batteries in the camera registered fully charged and the camera began working again. Leaving the cars we returned to the path. Halfway down the path the batteries were dead again. Changed batteries and continued on. Approximately 10 minutes later heard what sounded like car doors closing and noticed the lights again. The lights vanished. We waited about 10 minutes then proceeded toward the second bridge. Reached the second bridge without further incident. Pictures were taken, digital recorder was on and DVR was being used during the entire investigation. After leaving the bridge we proceeded down the path that would lead to the shack we had seem on a previous visit here. The shack has either fallen sown or is being torn down. There was a lot of debris in the area (mostly sinks), steps leading to a concrete slab which looks like a square area on it had been recently cemented in the middle. From there we followed the path to a swampy area. After returning to the vehicles we drove around to find the road we had seen that would lead to the last bridge. We were successful.
