Clear, warm night, 3/4 moon.

We found a couple of nice surprises when we turned down
the road leading to the cemetery.  It has been fully gravelled.
No more worries about getting stuck in the rutted "path" that
used to be.  Angie was delighted with the local farmers'
decision to plant beans this year rather than corn.

After arriving at Main St. Cemetery we began getting our
equipment out of the car in preparation of our investigation.
As we were beginning the investigation we saw headlights
coming toward us on the road leading to the cemetery.  The
car stopped about halfway and we could hear the sound of
very loud music and teenagers laughing and talking.
After approximately 10 minutes of picture taking we noticed
flashlight beams moving on the road and through the
surrounding bean fields.  We felt that the teens were up to
mischief and we wanted no part of it.  We drove slowly
around to the back of the cemetery, taking pictures each time
we stopped.
Upon leaving the cemetery the teens car was not on the road
leading to the cemetery but, a car(possibly the same one)
followed us for a few miles before we turned off and it
continued on.  When we turned around to head back to Cry
Baby Bridge the same car had stopped on a small rise in the
road and stayed there until we lost sight if it in our rear view
mirror.  We did continue on to Cry Baby Bridge but, took only
a handful of pictures before calling it a night.

Perhaps, on another night, we will be able to spend the time
needed to complete an in depth investigation.

Main Street Cemetery
Definitely not for the faint of heart nor those of you
with recurring nightmares from "Children of the Corn".

The "road" leading to this cemetery is more aptly
called a faint path which leads you past rows of corn
on both sides which seem to close in on you as you
travel toward your destination.  It was possible to
imagine Malachi lurking nearby while he waits for
"He who walks through the corn"

The cemetery is in great disrepair.  Towards the
back there are tombstones that have become
dislodged and are sliding down the hillside.  We had
a lot of trouble with batteries while investigating here.
Fresh batteries were dead within 20 minutes or
less, video cameras would not stay focused, flashes
would not work properly and there was a constant
feeling of movement up and down the lane we had
just travelled.

As we left this site to travel on to Cry Baby Bridge
Angie was certain that she saw an extra figure sitting
in the back seat.  After stopping the car (everyone
scrambled out) and asking the spirit  (nicely) to
please leave the car and go back where it belonged
we continued with our night.
